To deepen our understanding of volunteering in America and to promote its growth, the Corporation has created a comprehensive new interactive web tool--called Volunteering in America--that presents and analyzes the latest Census Bureau data on volunteer trends and demographics for all 50 states and more than 125 cities. The new website allows visitors to create customizable data sheets on areas of volunteering that interest them most, and contains links to a variety of useful resources.

When catastrophic weather hits the Oklahoma City area, Heather Campagna along with her fellow AmeriCorps*NCCC team members are sent to aid the American Red Cross with bringing essential items to families and individuals left without homes or with badly damaged homes.  As the devastation of what's happened around her sinks in, Heather realizes the things that really matter: community, compassion, and strength. Her story is titled, The Human Spirit.   When catastrophic weather hits the Oklahoma City area, Heather Campagna along with her fellow AmeriCorps*NCCC team members are sent to aid the American Red Cross with bringing essential items to families and individuals left without homes or with badly damaged homes.  As the devastation of what's happened around her sinks in, Heather realizes the things that really matter: community, compassion, and strength.
