To deepen our understanding of volunteering in America and to promote its growth, the Corporation has created a comprehensive new interactive web tool--called Volunteering in America--that presents and analyzes the latest Census Bureau data on volunteer trends and demographics for all 50 states and more than 125 cities. The new website allows visitors to create customizable data sheets on areas of volunteering that interest them most, and contains links to a variety of useful resources.

Kimberly Walker, a native of Meridian, MS, joined the Community HealthCorps program in Jackson, Mississippi in November 2004. Kimberly has served both at the Family Health Care Clinic in Brandon and at the G.A. Carmichael Family Health Center in Canton, where she recently has been helping survivors of Hurricane Katrina.   Kimberly Walker, a native of Meridian, MS, joined the Community HealthCorps program in Jackson, Mississippi in November 2004.
