To deepen our understanding of volunteering in America and to promote its growth, the Corporation has created a comprehensive new interactive web tool--called Volunteering in America--that presents and analyzes the latest Census Bureau data on volunteer trends and demographics for all 50 states and more than 125 cities. The new website allows visitors to create customizable data sheets on areas of volunteering that interest them most, and contains links to a variety of useful resources.

Ross Meyer did more than get a bachelor’s degree while a student at Miami University of Ohio. He also participated in alternative spring break programs, tutored GED classes, mentored young people, led housing construction crews, and coordinated after-school and summer youth programs.
